Celebrate a pioneer Christmas at Dade with old timey music, wreath making, punch tin crafting, Virginia Reel, caroling, rag, corn husk and clothes pin doll making, soap carving, period demonstrators, home-made wassail, popcorn over a fire, candle-making, old time general store, frontier foods and more.

On Saturday, December 9, 2023, from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m., the City of Bushnell will host Light Up Bushnell, featuring “Santa in the Park,” in the Bushnell Plaza Park! We invite you to take part in free games, cookies, hot cocoa, ornaments, raffles, bounce houses, a cake walk, letters to Santa and more. Don’t forget to submit your pre-decorated gingerbread house in the Gingerbread House Contest for a chance to win a trophy and prize! Various food trucks will be on-site for you to purchase your favorite “eats.” Bring your lawn chairs and a cozy blanket for a festive evening in downtown Bushnell! The schedule of events is as follows:
