Fall bird migrants have started to move into Dade Battlefield for their wintering grounds. Bring binoculars or borrow some from the park to see these avian visitors as well as our resident birds. Cost is $3/vehicle (or Florida State Parks Annual Pass). Bring a hat, sunscreen, water and insect repellent.

Traditional pine needle basketry is taught by Dade’s experienced volunteers.
All materials are provided to make a longleaf pine needle basket.
Pre-register by calling 352-793-4781 or email DadePrograms@FloridaDEP.gov.
Cost is $3/vehicle (or Florida State Parks Annual Pass) plus $5/person activities fee.

Fly-outs are organized for 8:00 a.m. on the 3rd Saturday of each month to local airports with restaurants. Contact fly-out organizer Danny Eaton at 407-289-6059 or email – eat638@aol.com to get in on the fun and meet new friends.

Get WILD with your students at Dade Battlefield Historic State Park each month in an immersive educational experience utilizing both indoor and outdoor activities teaching nature’s mysteries in a fun and engaging way! Each month we will use curricula from Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission’s Project and Aquatic WILD. Cost is free for this educational event.
