AGRItunity is Sumter County’s unique conference for gardeners, farmers, hobbyists, consumers and anyone interested in agricultural opportunities in our remarkable region. With talks from nationally recognized farmers, plenty of trade booths, exhibitions of vintage agricultural tools, exciting presentations on alternative crops and a large group of enthusiastic growers both young and old, AGRItunity is a place of encouragement and education like no other. 2013’s conference featured Sheri Salatin of Polyface Farm, a look at growing pomegranates in Florida, demonstrations of antique farming methods and lots – and we do mean LOTS – more! Thousands streamed into our extension office looking for fun and knowledge… and left with a burst of new excitement about the possibilities of Florida agriculture. Our 8th annual AGRItunity conference is coming up at the beginning of 2014 – will you be there?
