Rugged Round-Up Fitness Challenge @ Brown's Country Market

A round-up of Central-Florida’s most rugged is set for September 27th, less than an hour’s drive from Tampa and Orlando, in the rolling hills of Sumter County, Florida. The Rugged Round-Up is a unique fitness competition celebrating Sumter’s rural heritage. Contestants of all fitness levels, from confirmed couch potatoes to weekend warriors to fitness fanatics, will be put to the ultimate physical test for the right to be called Central Florida’s most rugged athlete.

The Rugged Round-Up is a fitness competition that will test your strength, stamina, speed, balance and general toughness over a course of 10 farm and ranch-themed challenges. The course is laid out over acres of beautiful , authentic Florida farm-land. We’ll group the contestants by age, with an open category for the real fitness freaks.

They’ll be dragging bales of hay, driving stakes, balancing on posts, hopping fences, tossing tractor tires, and competing in other fun and challenging events. No matter what your skill level, the Rugged Round-Up will bring out the best in you. When the competition is over, we’ll see who’s left standing. Then we’ll throw a righteous party!

You don’t have to be a fitness buff. We’ll have lots of fun family entertainment like live music, shooting and rodeo demonstrations, and great food. Stay and enjoy the after-party and awards ceremony. Everyone’s invited.

The Rugged Round-Up is set for September 27, 2014, behind Brown’s Country Market in Oxford, Florida. Part of a real working farm and in business for more than thirty years, Brown’s offers some of the best, freshest locally grown produce in Sumter County.

But before you register, ask yourself one important question: Are you rugged?
