11:00 am Welcome and Introduction to Farm City – Anna Jameson, Brite Leaf Nursery and Reba Mazak, Mazak Ranch.
11:15 am: DeAnne Maples, Director of Beef Marketing and Promotion of the Florida Beef Council
11:30 am “Native Plants Used to Attract Birds” – Jim Davis, UF/IFAS Extension Multi-County Director, Sumter and Hernando Counties
11:45 am “Don’t Waste that Waste! The Benefits of Cattle Manure Compost” Matt Smith
12:00 pm “Ecosystem Services Provided by Ranches” – Laura Bennett, UF/IFAS Extension Multi-County Sustainable Livestock Agent, Sumter, Hernando, and Pasco Counties
12:15 pm – Lunch Served to Registered Participants
1:00 pm – Tour – Reba Mazak from Mazak Ranch and Jim McAllister from the Florida Cattlemen’s Association
