Traditional pine needle basketry is taught by Dade’s experienced volunteers.

All materials are provided to make a longleaf pine needle basket.

Mad Hatter Children’s Tea at the Dade Lodge. Food, Mad Hatter characters and activities will be all a part of the afternoon.
Cost is $3/vehicle or Florida State Parks Annual Pass plus $5/person or $20/family. By reservation only for ages 5 and up accompanied by an adult. Adults welcome with or without children!

The Featured Car Club may park their cars at 2:45pm. Residents of The Villages may enter from 3-4pm or until the first 150 forms are handed out. The General Public may enter starting at 4pm or after the first 150 forms have been handed out. All cars must register after entering with registration ending at 6pm. Once parked, registrants are not permitted to leave until the show is over.
Vehicles with a model year of 30 years or older are permitted entry. “For Sale” signs may only be displayed in the back seats of a car. No flame throwing, tire burning, or engine revving is allowed.

Project WILD for Kids - "Smokey Bear Said What" @ Dade Battlefield Historic State Park

Get WILD with your students at Dade Battlefield Historic State Park each month in an immersive educational experience utilizing both indoor and outdoor activities teaching nature’s mysteries in a fun and engaging way! 

Each month we will use curricula from Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission’s Project and Aquatic WILD. 

Cost is free for this educational event.
