Come along and visit with us. Our fresh air country market offers you an old-time, down-home feeling the moment you step out of your car. You’ll find flowering plants, herbs and seasonal fruit trees out front. You’re welcome to come on in, sit a while and chat on the handmade wooden benches and wooden rocking chairs. You can sit and reminisce of days gone by while enjoying fresh, hot boiled peanuts and drinking an ice-cold, glass-bottled soda.
Throughout the 5,500 sq.ft. of our store you’ll find many varieties of fresh fruit and vegetables including tomatoes, cantaloupes, watermelon, potatoes, corn and onions, all displayed simply in handmade wooden bins. The cooler holds fresh shelled peas, which is one of Larry’s favorites to cook for sampling. Brown’s Country Market also stocks many Amish products, such as jellies, jams, relishes, syrups, smoked meats and cheese, along with country hams, pork skins and kettle corn.
Just like an old-time candy store, you can choose from a large variety of candies and liquorice sticks to satisfy any sweet tooth. And Larry always tries to stock as many local products as possible, like locally produced honey and Granny Nichols BBQ sauce to name a few.
In fact, Brown’s Country Market is run just like the Brown and Brown Farms seed business. The team are dedicated to giving customers the best – they take great pride in providing fresh high quality produce and a good variety of local products. With the staff’s friendly faces and the fact that they greet regular customers by first name, it’s no wonder that so many keep coming back week after week.
